The Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) received a donation of laboratory testing equipment donated by Trade Mark East Africa (TMEA) with support from the Danish Government. The equipment worth USD 408,617.04 was to enable UNBS to decentralize its laboratory testing services to its Regional Offices in Mbarara, Gulu and Mbale, hence take the testing services closer to the people.
LabX Scientific Limited was awarded this contract and was tasked with the supply, delivery, installation, commissioning, training and after sales services for decentralised laboratory equipment under Lot 3. This equipment comprised of cryogenic grinders(3), Refridgerated centrifuges (3), Vortex Mixture (6), Heat Sealing Machines (6), Heating Mantles (6), Explosion Proof Blender (15), Laboratory Blenders (3), Grinders (6), Dessicators (9), Orbital Shakers (3), Laboratory Food Processors(3), Condensers (9), Riffle Dividers (3), Sample Mills (3), Shakers (3), Shaking Water Baths (3), Sieve Shakers (3), Soxhlet Apparatus (3), Transformers (3), Turbo Evaporators (3), Homogenisers (6), Vacuum Pump(3), Water Distillation Unit(3), Hot Plates (15), Hot Plates(15), Washing Machines (3), Water Bath Sonicator(3), Water Baths (6),Coliform Water Baths (6).
All these equipment were fully delivered, successfully installated and users trained at each of the respective regional laboratories of Mbarara, Mbale and Gulu.
